Endemol shifts executive suite

Kreiz gives his senior exec team a makeover

Endemol chairman-CEO Ynon Kreiz has given his senior exec team a makeover and taken operational control of the group’s 80 companies in 26 countries.

Programming chief Paul Romer has been upped to chief creative officer and continues to lead the group’s creative teams. He will look after all the entertainment properties, which include “Big Brother,” “Deal or No Deal,” “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” “Star Academy” and “Wipeout.”

Chief commercial officer Tom Toumazis’ role has been broadened to incorporate sports, participation TV, branded entertainment as well as consumer products and marketing.

He will work with Endemol Sport’s joint managing directors, Lawrence Duffy and Gregg Oldfield, as well as the head of marketing and brand partnerships, Paul Johnson, and head of participation TV, Dennis Janzen.

Toumazis will continues with his existing responsibilities, which include overseeing Endemol and Southern Star’s merged distribution business, headed up by CEO Cathy Payne.

Chief operating officer Marco Bassetti has been shifted to a non-executive advisory role as group prexy. He will be responsible for senior client relationships, lead special projects and help to implement the group’s growth strategy, including major acquisitions.
