Reveille, Stolper to launch production shingle

Reveille has partnered with reality producer Stella Bulochnikov Stolper to launch the production shingle Wikked Entertainment.

New venture marks the start of an aggressive expansion in the U.S. by Reveille to complement the push into new markets in Europe, Australia and other regions by parent company Shine Group, which now runs 23 entities worldwide.

Stolper will run Wikked, while Reveille will provide financial overhead and cover production and distribution costs.

Stolper most recently co-founded Ish Entertainment with Michael Hirschorn. Ish created reality vehicles for Paris Hilton (“My New BFF”), T.I. (“Road to Redemption”), 50 Cent (“The Money and the Power”) and DJ AM (“Gone Too Far”), among others.

At Wikked, Stolper plans to combine her talent relationships with Reveille’s access to scripted and nonscripted formats.

Stolper also played a large role in the development of the “celebreality” brand at VH1, where she previously handled celebrity talent development.

Exec said she has started the ball rolling on several new projects.

“Artists know to trust me. What I’d love to do is build someone’s brand,” Stolper told Daily Variety. “We’re going to shape the right premise and concept to further someone’s celebrity and image.”

Also onboard the venture is Naomi Bulochnikov, Stolper’s sister, who has been named head of development for Wikked.

Wikked will be based in Universal City, where Reveille is headquartered.

“Stella is a force of nature,” said Reveille managing director Mark Koops. “We’ve been looking at growing the Reveille business here in the U.S. and also the continued expansion of the Shine Group. Stella was a natural fit given the relationships she has and continues to develop. A lot of these talent-driven shows have a huge international upside.”

During her time at VH1 Stolper also worked with talent including Drew Barrymore, Eva Longoria, the Wayans brothers, Mo’Nique and Larry the Cable Guy.

Hirschorn and Stolper launched Ish (which had a joint venture with Lionsgate) in January 2008; that shingle’s series sack also included VH1′s “My Antonio” and a CMT special featuring Larry the Cable Guy. The duo parted ways last month over creative differences.

“We expect big things from this partnership,” Koops said.
