The Multicultural Motion Picture Assn. will honor the Fox comedy “Glee” with the favorite new television cast ensemble award at the 17th annual Diversity Awards, to be held Nov. 22 at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Other kudos went to “NCIS: Los Angeles” for favorite new TV action-drama; “Lincoln Heights” for family drama ensemble; and “Parks and Recreation” for new comedy ensemble.
Justin Chon and Hope Olaide Wilson scored the male and female nova awards, respectively. Sanaa Hamri was honored with the visionary award and Scott Hamilton Kennedy with the audience favorite award for docu feature director.
Other awards went to Taraji P. Henson for actress in a drama for pic “Tyler Perry’s I Can Do Bad All by Myself” and Masi Oka for actor in a TV drama for “Heroes.”
