Disneyland taps George Kalogridis

Veteran replaces retiring president Ed Grier

George Kalogridis has been tapped prexy of the Disneyland Resort.

Former Disneyland Resort prexy Ed Grier announced his retirement last week.

Kalogridis has been with the company since 1971, when he started as a busboy at the Contemporary Resort in Walt Disney World, and most recently served as chief operating officer at Disneyland Resort, Paris.

As the Paris COO, Kalogridis oversaw various projects for the park including its 15th anniversary celebration.

He will report to Al Weiss, president of worldwide operations for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts.
