Channel to access 2.8 million Asian subscribers

BEIJING — ITV Studios Global Ent. has announced that its general entertainment channel for Asia, Granada TV, has been picked up by South East Asia’s largest pay TV operator, Astro All Asia Networks (ASTRO).

The pickup means Granada TV will be available to all 2.8 million Astro subscribers as part of the Astro Family Pack, starting Dec. 21.

Among the skeins available to Astro viewers in early 2010 include the crime series “Prime Suspect,” reality skein “Super Agents” and a China-based challenge show called “The Crunch.”
