Cox, Sutherland, Anderson set for telepic
Nick Hamm’s “I Was Bono’s Doppelganger,” stars as Ishmael, a new crewman on the final voyage of the ill-fated vessel and the narrator of the tale. Sutherland will play Father Mapple and Anderson portrays Ahab’s wife, Elizabeth. They join Hurt, who stars as the fanatical Captain Ahab, and Hawke, who will play Starbuck, the first officer of the whaling ship Pequod. “Moby Dick” is TeleMunchen’s most expensive production ever. The company is partnering with RHI Entertainment, Germany’s RTL and Austrian pubcaster ORF on the latest adaptation of Herman Melville’s 1851 classic tome. Rikolt von Gagern’s Munich-based Gate Film is producing for TeleMunchen. Pic began shooting in Lunenburg, near Halifax, Canada, in mid-September and will continue in Malta.
