The Indian Film Co. and Studio 18 will mount a Hindi-language version of “The Italian Job.”
Burmawalla brothers Abbas-Mustan (“Race”) will helm, with a cast to be announced.
Studio 18, India’s largest vertically integrated motion picture company, is part of Viacom 18, a 50-50 joint venture set up between Viacom and Network 18. Its association with Viacom allows it to explore remakes from Paramount’s film library.
Pic is slated for a late 2009 start date.
