Cinekid adds cross-media market

Junior Cross connects producers, commissioners

BRUSSELS — Children’s film fest Cinekid is adding a cross-media market to its professional program.

The Junior Cross Media Market will bring together producers of promising multi-platform projects, commissioning editors and financiers to stimulate international co-productions.

Discussion of trends and finance options for pan-European projects will be followed by one-to-one meetings to match ideas with coin.

New strand, developed with Dutch company Ijsfontein, complements fest’s existing film and TV co-production markets, screening club and seminars.

Cinekid unspools Oct. 14-23 in Amsterdam, with biz activities beginning Oct. 20. Full lineup will be announced mid-September.
