Thriller stars Gilles Lellouche, Roschdy Zem
Fred Cavaye (“Anything for Her”) is set to helm “A Bout portant,” a thriller starring Gilles Lellouche (“Public Enemy Number One”) and Roschdy Zem (“Go Fast”).
Set over 24 hours, the high-voltage crime suspenser centers on a male nurse (Lellouche) who is coerced by rogue cops to free a big-time gangster (Zem), who has just been transported to a hospital after being injured in an accident.
Paris-based LGM Prods. is producing. Gaumont will handle French distribution and international sales. Canal Plus and TF1 have pre-bought French TV rights.
Cavaye recently collaborated with Paul Haggis to pen “The Next Three Days,” the U.S. remake of Diane Kruger starrer “Anything For Her,” which Cavaye wrote and directed in 2008.
LGM is also producing “Les Yeux de sa mere,” a drama starring an international ensemble cast including Catherine Deneuve, Geraldine Pailhas (“Espion(s)”), Nicolas Duvauchelle (“Braquo”), Marisa Paredes (“Talk to Her”) and Marina Fois (“Change of Plans”).
Directed by Thierry Klifa (“I’ve Been Waiting So Long”), the film centers on a woman who reconciles with her estranged mother, a famed French TV anchor (Deneuve), following the death of her father.
Pic, which is budgeted at $15 million, will start shooting in January in Paris and Brittany for nine weeks.
Mars Distribution has taken local distribution rights.
