Filmmaker tapped to top New Currents

French filmmaker Jean-Jacques Beineix has been tapped to top the New Currents jury at the 14th Pusan Film Festival, which runs Oct. 8-16.

Beineix, best known for “Diva,” will be joined by Turkish director Yesim Ustaoglu (“Waiting for the Clouds”), Thai helmer Pen-ek Ratanaruang (“Invisible Waves”), Taiwanese thesp Terri Kwan (“Prince of Tears”) and Korean d.p.
