Director to oversee Canal 7, other properties
BUENOS AIRES — The Argentine government has tapped helmer Tristan Bauer (“Enlightened by Fire”) as prexy of Sistema Nacional de Medios Publicos, a state entity that oversees pubcaster Canal 7 and other media properties.
He began Aug. 6 after two years of running state education feevee Encuentro.
He replaces Gustavo Lopez, who has been shifted to another office in the government.
The fifth-ranked net in Argentina, Canal 7 has seen a rise in critical attention thanks to a greater offering of fiction like “Cuentos de Fontanarrosa” (Stories of Fontanarrosa) and “200 anos” (200 Years).
