Discovery World to begin broadcasting Aug. 1

LONDON — Showtime Arabia, one of the leading Pay-TV networks in the Middle East and North Africa, has launched Discovery World. The new channel, which will feature a range of factual programming from around the world, will begin broadcasting Aug. 1.

Among the exclusive content available on the channel will be Brit historian David Starkey’s acclaimed multiepisode documentary “Monarchy,” which presents the definitive story of the British monarchy through the centuries.

Other shows including “FBI Files,” “Forensic Detectives” and “Mummy Autopsy” will also feature on the new channel’s grid.
