‘Hee Haw’ returns to tube

Variety show to air on Nashville's RFD-TV

Hee Haw” is returning to the airwaves after nearly a decade of absence, airing on the Nashville-based RFD-TV’s Sunday lineup at 8 p.m. as of Sept. 7. As befitting its Nashville station, reruns of the show will feature country music greats including Hank Williams Jr., Dolly Parton, Merle Haggard, and Loretta Lynn, who performed “Your Squaw is on the Warpath” in the show’s June 15, 1969 premiere.

Vintage episodes of the variety show, featuring co-hosts Owens and Roy Clark, will air in their original order on RFD-TV, and will be rebroadcast Monday mornings.
