Network triumphs in all three major categories

TOKYO — The Fuji TV network took the annual ratings crown in all three major categories for the fifth straight year, according to figures released by ratings agency Video Research on Monday.

 Fuji scored top average ratings of 13% in golden time (7 p.m. to 10 p.m); 13.3% in primetime (7 p.m. to 11 p.m.); and 8.5% in the all-day period (6 a.m to midnight).  

The highest-rated Fuji show for the year was the final episode of “Change,” a drama series starring Takuya Kimura, of the pop group SMAP, as a reforming prime minister. The July 14 episode garnered a 27.4% rating.
