O'Connor pleased after pre-release drama

NEW YORK Considering the pre-release drama, the Oct. 15 Gotham preem for “Pride and Glory” went off quietly. Originally slated to unspool in March, the pic was scrapped by New Line, which prompted director Gavin O’Connor and cast to go public with their frustration and fear that the film would disappear.

But at the Bar American after-party he was quite content. “We got the best of both worlds,” O’Connor said. “I got to make the film at New Line under the regime of Toby Emmerich and now we have the Warner Bros. marketing machine working with us.”
