Martin Lawrence, Raven-Symone attend
HOLLYWOOD — Disney rolled out a highway-themed bash following Monday’s premiere of its latest family comedy, “College Road Trip.”
After the screening, the film’s stars Martin Lawrence, Raven-Symone and Donny Osmond as well as director Roger Kumble all made the short trek across the street from the El Capitan Theater to The Annex.
A carnival-style party awaited, catering mostly to younger guests such as Abigail Breslin with bingo, photo booths, soap-making and karaoke. Even adult revelers waited in line, however, to get their hands on build-a-pig stuffed animals, in honor of the pic’s scene-stealing hog.
Kumble said he hoped to make many more family-friendly comedies. “Judd (Apatow) cornered the market on the R-rated comedies and does it so well,” he said. “Our goal was to make the funniest G-rated movie. No one’s really playing in that arena right now.”
‘The Bank Job’ premieres
Lionsgate’s Joe Drake, producer Charles Roven and director Roger Donaldson were onhand at the Hollywood premiere of “The Bank Job.” The film was also the subject of a Cinema Society screening in New York on Monday, where stars Saffron Burrows and Jason Statham were in attendance.
