Manager Jerry Kravat dies at 72

Worked with Barbara Cook, Eartha Kitt

Entertainment manager Jerry Kravat died March 31 in Manhattan from complications following cancer surgery. He was 72.

A longtime personal manager of Barbara Cook, Kravat also managed clients including Eartha Kitt, Joel Grey and Steve Allen.

Before staring to work with Cook in 1979, Kravat helped managed society orchestras in the New York area and was the entertainment director for the Waldorf Astoria Hotel.

He also worked as a theatrical producer, with the off-Broadway show “Mayor” his biggest hit.

He is survived by his wife Marty, five children, 13 grandchildren and a sister.
