'Mad Men' wins program of the year
The lobby at the Beverly Hilton turned into a sea of skein stars as execs and thesps arrived for TCA parties throughout the week.
On Saturday, the hotel hosted the TCA Awards, where “Mad Men” won program of the year.
When picking up the trophy, co-star John Slattery joked, “Obviously, the message of smoking, drinking and whoring has resonated with the TCA.”
Also on hand were folks such as “John Adams” exec producer Tom Hanks and “30 Rock” star Tina Fey, who let their guard down to have a little fun with the critics while also showing support for their respective programs.
In the prior two weeks, numerous parties took place, from the Fuse network bash, where Natasha Bedingfield belted out tunes, to the fetes thrown by ABC, NBC and Turner, where the nets served up everything from jumbo shrimp to mini crabcakes, hoping to entice the press to mingle with talent.
