Exec named VP of media org

Craig Hitchcock has been named veep and exec director of the Paley Center for Media in Los Angeles.

Hitchcock will fill the role previously occupied by Barbara Dixon, who is retiring in early January after seven years with the Paley Center, formerly known as the Museum of Television & Radio.

Hitchcock most recently served as sales director for the Hollywood Reporter. Prior to that, he worked for Variety parent Reed Business Information from 1996-2005.

He served in several sales positions for Variety during that tenure, eventually moving up to the position of group publisher for home entertainment and retail for RBI.
