Exec named to top marketing post
Richard Ingber has joined Warner-based Alcon Entertainment as president of worldwide marketing.
The move comes a month after Alcon announced it had raised new production financing totaling $550 million and extended its distribution deal with Warner for an additional five years and 15 films.
Ingber has been working as a consultant with Alcon on its upcoming “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2.” He also headed Alcon’s marketing campaigns for “P.S. I Love You,” “One Missed Call,” “16 Blocks,” “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants,” “Racing Stripes,” “Insomnia” and “My Dog Skip.”
Ingber has served in various marketing capacities at Columbia, Fox, Largo and Disney. He formed a marketing consulting company in 1998 to work with filmmakers as well as studios’ marketing and distribution divisions.
