Group's Vinciquerra taps Tuzon as exec VP
Fox Networks Group has finalized the restructuring of its broadcast operations following Fox net prexy Ed Wilson’s recent departure. With Wilson moving on to run Tribune’s stations, Fox Networks Group prexy-CEO Tony Vinciquerra has decided not to replace the exec but instead remove a layer from the web’s reporting structure. Meanwhile, Vinciquerra has also brought in Fox Cable exec Rita Tuzon to serve as exec VP-general counsel of the Fox Networks Group. Tuzon, who had been exec VP of business and legal affairs and general counsel for Fox Cable Networks since March 2004, will now handle those duties for the Fox net, in addition to FX, Fox Movie Channel, Speed, Fox Reality, National Geographic Channel and others. Exec’s resume also includes seven years as senior VP of litigation for Fox Group. “Over the past several years, Rita has demonstrated keen instincts and a strong strategic approach to problem-solving at the cable group,” Vinciquerra said. As for the reporting structure change at the broadcast network, Tuzon, Fox sales prexy Jon Nesvig and network distribution exec VP Jon Hookstratten will report to Vinciquerra. Also, broadcast standards and practices senior VP Nicole Bernard and legal affairs senior VP Minna Taylor will report to Tuzon. And network distribution VP of legal affairs Karen Earls will continue to report to Hookstratten but will also consult with Tuzon. Wilson, who departed Fox at the end of last month, began his new gig Monday as president and CEO of the Tribune broadcast group.
