Exec to head communications for FNG

Longtime Fox communications whiz Scott Grogin has been upped to senior VP of communications for the Fox Networks Group.

Grogin will now report to Fox Networks Group chairman/CEO Tony Vinciquerra.

Vinciquerra said the position formalizes an expanded role that Grogin had already undertaken at the company.

At Fox Networks Group, Grogin will manage cross-platform strategic programs and assist on communications that pertain to affiliate relations, sales and government relations issues.

Grogin will also work with Fox Networks Group’s national and regional cable networks on inter-divisional initiatives and serve as its liaison with the trade, financial and business press.

Fox’s stable of non-news cable nets include FX, National Geographic Channel, Fuel, Fox Reality Channel, FSN, Speed, Fox Soccer Channel and the Big Ten Network.

Grogin joined Fox in 2000, and was most recently the broadcast network’s senior VP for corporate communications. Before that, he was director of publicity and PR for Universal Studios Recreation Group.
