BERLIN – The Fox Channel is set to launch on the News Corp.-controlled German pay TV platform Premiere this fall.
Fox will be available to subscribers of the feevee operator’s Premiere Film package beginning Oct. 4. in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Fox’s expansion onto Premiere follows the web’s initial launch in Germany on regional cabler Unitymedia and its satellite platform ArenaSat in May.
The web will carry a slew of hit U.S. and British series, some airing for the first time in German-speaking territories, including “Lost,” “Entourage” and “The Wire,” all airing without commercial breaks and in both original English and German versions.
The Premiere Film package offers films and series including “24,” “Nip/Tuck” and “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.”
