TV host signs multiyear pact with Comcast

Ryan Seacrest has signed a new multiyear deal with Comcast that will seek to expand the omnipresent E! personality’s role across the conglom’s cable networks.

Under the new agreement, Ryan Seacrest Prods. will offer Comcast first-look rights to all its projects through August 2011 and will develop programming for the Comcast family of cable networks that also includes G4, Versus and Golf Channel, among numerous other channels. The previous agreement pertained only to E! and Style.

The new pact also outlines an advertising relationship between E! and Seacrest’s radio properties, which include the syndicated “American Top 40″ and the Los Angeles-based “On-Air With Ryan Seacrest.”

Seacrest will continue to serve as anchor and managing editor of “E! News,” as well as exec producer and host of the network’s “Live From the Red Carpet” awards specials.

Ryan Seacrest Prods. currently has two nonfiction series running on E!, “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” and “Denise Richards: It’s Complicated.”
