Tanner Foust, Eric Stromer to help test cars

As he’s told his radio audience for months, Adam Carolla is set to host NBC’s domestic version of “Top Gear.”

Carolla will be joined by stunt driver/champion racer Tanner Foust and HGTV host Eric Stromer. Production on the pilot begins this week.

Like the UK original, the U.S. “Top Gear” will center on three hosts as they test fast cars. BBC Worldwide America is producing.

Tod Mesirow and Kevin Harris are set to exec produce the U.S. “Top Gear” pilot. The U.K. series, which first launched in 1977, has aired on BBC America since last year.
