Marsh, Fagan added to TV unit

Alchemy TV Group is expanding its ranks, bringing in Burrad Marsh to handle U.S. series development and Paul Fagan to oversee business development and legal affairs.

Hires come as Alchemy — based in L.A. and London — rapidly expands its output. Company has grown from four partners to 16 employees in two years.

“In Burrad and Paul, we’ve acquired experienced and creative executives who can hit the ground running, keep pace with the momentum we’ve already generated and accelerate as new projects we’re working on come to fruition,” said Alchemy CEO Carrie Stein.

Marsh moves to Alchemy from the Kaplan Stahler Gumer Braun Agency; before that, he was at ICM.

Fagan, who will handle business and legal for Alchemy’s reality and drama divisions, previously spent 20 years at the BBC in a variety of positions, including head of business and legal affairs in program acquisition. Most recently, he headed up the Commercial Agency at the Beeb, overseeing its co-production, investment, sponsorship and distribution for inhouse commissions.

Marsh will be based in L.A., while Fagan will remain in London.

Alchemy’s current production include the longforms “Burn Up,” starring Bradley Whitford; “Diamonds,” with Judy Davis; and the biopic “Coco Chanel.”

Company’s series include the cop drama “The Weight,” Network Ten Australia’s “The Informant” and the France 2 format “Clara Sheller.”
