Actor Christopher Allport dies at 60

Industry vet appeared on 'Mad Men,' 'X-Files'

TV actor Christopher Allport died in an avalanche at the Mountain High ski resort in Wrightwood, Calif. on Jan. 25. He was 60.

An experienced skier, he had written about backcountry skiing for the Los Angeles Times in 2004, cautioning skiers to be careful.

The veteran character actor had appeared on shows including “Mad Men,” “E.R.,” “Felicity,” “The X-Files,” and “Matlock.” He had a recurring character on “Dynasty” and appeared in feature films including “To Live and Die in L.A.” and the 1986 “Invaders From Mars.”
