Network slates 10 new episodes
TBS has ordered a third season of “The Bill Engvall Show,” slating 10 new episodes for next summer.
The half-hour comedy, starring the eponymous Blue Collar Comedy tour headliner, along with Nancy Travis and Tim Meadows, is coming off a second campaign this past summer during which it averaged 2.3 million viewers.
Series was the top-rated program on ad-supported cable in adults 18-49 during its time period.
Renewal of the sitcom, which stars Engvall as a family counselor, Travis as his wife and Meadows as his neighbor and best friend, comes after TBS added another Tyler Perry series, “Meet the Browns,” to its original comedy stable.
