Exec to head up business affairs department
Sony Pictures TV has tapped Jeff Frost to head up the studio’s business affairs department.
As exec VP of business affairs, Frost will handle the department’s day-to-day operations, including negotiations with networks, production companies and talent. Business dealings for Sony Pictures TV’s network, cable and syndie TV productions all fall under his domain.
Frost joins Sony from ABC Studios, where he was senior VP of business affairs. He reports to Sony Pictures TV prexy Steve Mosko.
“Jeff brings years of experience and a broad view of the industry, which will shape our negotiations in this quickly evolving business climate,” Mosko said.
Frost spent more than a decade at Disney, joining ABC in 1997 as a litigation attorney and moving to the legal affairs and business affairs departments at Touchstone TV in 1999. In 2003, he moved over to ABC Cable Networks as senior VP and head of business affairs, and moved back to Touchstone TV in 2005, heading up the legal department. Before departing, he was senior VP of business affairs at the renamed ABC Studios, working on both traditional productions and digital media.
