Actor sign deal for one more year with show
William Petersen is staying on the “CSI” beat for one more season.
Star of the CBS signature crime drama has inked a rich new one-year deal with CBS Par Network TV that will keep him attached to the series through the 2008-09 season. His current pact expires at the end of May.
Thesp is one of the highest-paid actors working in television, with an annual salary that amounts to roughly $600,000 per episode.
Petersen won’t appear in every seg of “CSI” next year, however. Deal gives the actor the flexibility to take time off to appear in non-TV projects, and he’s already booked a play for the fall.
CBS Par declined to comment on the specifics of Petersen’s deal.
