Amy Introcaso-Davis to head original programming
Oxygen’s transformation under new boss Lauren Zalaznick continues with the appointment of Bravo programming exec Amy Introcaso-Davis as head of original programming.
Introcaso-Davis will oversee existing series and development for the femme-centric cabler that NBC U acquired last year. She previously worked with Zalaznick, prexy of Bravo Media and Oxygen Media, as Bravo’s senior veep of development and production. Oxygen’s previous programming prexy, Debby Beece, resigned in November right after NBC U struck the deal to acquire the cabler from Oxygen Media founder Geraldine Laybourne and her partners.
“Amy is a trend-finder and the shows she launches are heat-seekers,” Zalaznick said in announcing Introcaso-Davis’ appointment as Oxygen’s senior veepee original programming and development.
Introcaso-Davis had been with Bravo since 2002. During her tenure she developed and exec produced some of the cabler’s signature hits, including “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy,” “Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List,” “Celebrity Poker Showdown” and “Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style.”
Earlier in her career, Introcaso-Davis worked in development and casting for Lifetime Television, Fox Broadcasting Co. and CBS.
