Exec named general sales manager to TV unit
NBC Universal Domestic TV Distribution has upped Sean O’Boyle to exec VP-general sales manager.
O’Boyle, who has worked at NBC U since 2000, will continue to oversee domestic broadcast sales for the division’s firstrun and off-net programs. He’ll also continue to direct its regional sales offices in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta and Dallas.
Previously serving as senior VP and national syndication sales manager, O’Boyle is credited as being instrumental in the local broadcast sales for the new daytime version of “Deal or No Deal,” as well as established syndie strips including “Access Hollywood,” “The Martha Stewart Show” and “The Jerry Springer Show.”
He has also played a key role in the off-net sales of “The Office,” “Law & Order: SVU,” “House” and “Monk,” among other series.
