Lifetime has given a six-episode order to docu series “Blonde Charity Mafia,” which will chronicle the lives of three twentysomething D.C. socialites who are prominent on the Beltway fund-raiser scene.
Production on the half-hour will start in September on location in Washington, with Patti Ivins Specht and Julie Pizzi serving as executive producers and Jeff Kuntz as co-exec producer. Series is produced by PB&J Television for Lifetime.
No air date has been established yet.
The nonfiction skein will focus on scene-setters Katherine Kennedy and Krista Johnson, who are well known in and around the capital for the hot-ticket charity events they conduct. An acquaintance of the duo, party regular Sophie Pyle, will also be featured.
