Network teams with Red Hour on comedy
Fox is developing a quirky office comedy from scribe Kevin Napier and Ben Stiller’s Red Hour Films shingle.
“The Station,” to be written by Napier, takes place in a covert CIA office in South America. Fox has given a script order with a decent-sized penalty attached to the project.
Stiller has signed on to direct “The Station” as well as exec produce. Napier will serve as a co-exec producer, while Red Hour principals Jeremy Kramer and Stuart Cornfeld will also exec produce.
Twentieth Century Fox TV is behind “The Station,” along with Red Hour Films.
Stiller’s company is getting its feet wet in TV, having been behind last year’s CBS comedy project starring Christine Taylor. Red Hour has also been developing a series adaptation of the novel “Gods Behaving Badly.”
Napier’s credits include the short “Assassin Emeritus.”
