XM radio exec Eric Logan has been named exec VP of Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo.
The newly created role will include oversight of Harpo’s radio, print and retail arms, as well as talent relations, and Logan will report to prexy Tim Bennett, beginning the job in mid-August.
Logan will also partner with other Harpo divisions on projects including the new-media offerings for the upcoming “Dr. Oz.”
Logan was exec VP for programming and broadcast operations at XM since August 2004. He has also worked at Citadel Broadcasting, Infinity Broadcasting and as a radio station mascot in Oklahoma City. Logan has worked in the Chicago area (where Harpo is located) before, at country station WUSN-FM.
