Jada Pinkett Smith hit Cannes with her directorial debut, “The Human Contract,” along with hubby Will Smith, who exec produced. Pic’s market bow for distributors Saturday was followed by a Carlton Beach bash. As rain beat down on the tented venue, booming beats kept the party going inside.
A posse of CAA agents, including Richard Lovett, and international buyers huddled around the Smiths most of the night. “Contract’s” stars Paz Vega and Jason Clarke were on hand, among guests including Participant CEO Jeff Skoll, Google co-founder Larry Page, attorney Andrew Hurwitz and Miramax’s Peter Lawson.
