The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists has promoted Christopher de Haan to national director of communications.
De Haan succeeds John Hinrichs, who ankled earlier this year. He previously served as AFTRA’s national manager of communications.
He’ll remain based at AFTRA headquarters in Los Angeles and will oversee and manage all internal and external communications, including strategy development, media relations, member communications (including AFTRA’s website and member magazine) and other strategic outreach.
De Haan reports directly to AFTRA national exec director Kim Roberts Hedgpeth. He joined the AFTRA staff in 2001 after serving as an exec at BET Pictures II.
