With nearly a year having passed since the WGA strike brought these new series from 2007 to a halt, even die-hard fans might have trouble remembering where the shows left off. Here are brief refreshers on some notable returnees:

CHUCK

(NBC)

Previously on…: A bug (the spying kind) discovered at the Buy More store employing reluctant espionager Chuck (Zachary Levi) made him vulnerable. With his help, agents Sarah Walker and John Casey (Yvonne Strahovski and Adam Baldwin) unraveled the mystery but concluded Chuck had been compromised and needed to be relocated. Sarah teared up at the realization.

DIRTY SEXY MONEY

(ABC)

Previously on…: As Nick (Peter Krause) navigated his entangling relationships with Tripp Darling (Donald Sutherland) and Darling’s rival Simon Baker (Blair Underwood), wife Lisa (Zoe McLellan) smoked marijuana at the art gallery she worked at and ended up getting fired. Realizing she needed a change in her life anyway, Nick and Lisa decided to try to have another child.  

LIFE

Previously on…: Amid a murder investigation, Charlie (Damian Lewis) was sidetracked into pursuing Kyle Hollis (Titus Welliver), the man he believed committed the murders he was wrongly convicted for. A series of tumultuous events later, Hollis confessed to the killings — but not to setting Charlie up. Charlie realized that Hollis was just one piece of the puzzle that sent him to prison.

Also mucking up the works: Cooper began dating Charlotte (KaDee Strickland), a cop intrigued Addison, and Dell (Chris Lowell) declared love for Naomi.

Previously on…: Hands-free lovers Ned (Lee Pace) and Chuck (Anna Friel) had become strained when Chuck learned that Ned was responsible for her father’s death. After some time, Chuck started to accept Ned not being able to bring her dad back to life. Then, a twist: Lily (Swoosie Kurtz), under the influence of a hallucinogenic pie, revealed that she was actually Chuck’s mother.
