Morgan Margolis has been appointed president and CEO of Knitting Factory Entertainment and will run the company from the Hollywood venue.
He had been vice president of National Operations, which had him overseeing the three West Coast venues, plus Knitting Factory NY, and the company’s concert promotions and productions. Margolis has been with Knitting Factory Hollywood since the venue opened in 2000, becoming general manager in 2004.
Margolis plans to continue the company’s expansion through acquisition and strategic partnerships in addition to increasing sponsor revenues.
In the 2½ years since purchasing Boise, Idaho, concert promoter Bravo Entertainment, Knitting Factory Entertainment has been expanding. It operates venues across the country, a touring division, HD capture systems and a record label.
