Cob-Baehler promoted at music label
Angelica Cob-Baehler has been promoted to the new role of senior VP, publicity and creative services for North America. Based in Los Angeles, she reports to Howard Handler, the recently appointed executive VP and head of marketing for EMI Music in North America.
Cob-Baehler now oversees publicity and creative services efforts for artists on EMI Music’s rosters in the U.S. and Canada including Angel, Astralwerks, Blue Note, Capitol, Capitol Latin (EMI’s joint venture with Televisa), Capitol Nashville, Manhattan and Virgin. She will have responsibility for all publicity campaigns and creative imaging and direction for EMI artists.
Most recently, Cob-Baehler was senior vice president, publicity and creative services for EMI’s Capitol Music Group. Previously she had a similar title with Virgin Records.
Since joining EMI in 2006, she has worked on campaigns for 30 Seconds to Mars, A Fine Frenzy, Katy Perry, Iggy Pop and the Stooges, Joss Stone and KT Tunstall. She was previously VP of publicity for Columbia Records and held several posts at Atlantic Records.
