Brooks and Dunn involved in many charities

Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn have each received considerable acclaim for their charitable activities, both collectively and individually.

Brooks is on the board of the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, while Dunn has for years held an annual “Rock the Barn” event at his home near Nashville, raising money for charities such as Gilda’s Club and the St. Thomas Breast Cancer Center. Other charities they have worked with include Hurricane Katrina relief, Habitat for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House and Monroe Harding Children’s Home via benefit Laughter for the Children.

Beverly Herro, executive assistant at Sony/ ATV, music publisher for both Brooks and Dunn, says, “Anytime I’ve ever called them for a charity event, if they were available, they never turned me down.”
