Reality host joins 'High School' talent search
One time reality TV star Nick Lachey has been reinvented as a reality TV host, joining ABC’s upcoming competish “High School Musical: Summer Session.”
Lachey follows in the footsteps of his younger brother, Drew, who recently hosted the Alphabet net’s “Dancing With the Stars” spinoff, “Dance Wars.”
Besides his stint on MTV’s “Newlyweds,” Lachey also recently competed in NBC’s holiday special “Clash of the Choirs.” He won top prize, having led 17 Cincinnati singers to the title of “America’s Best Choir” on the show.
Lachey, whose third solo album drops later this year, also recently appeared, along with Alicia Keys, in MTV’s “Fresh Takes.”
Lachey will host the talent search as it debuts Sunday, July 20 at 8 p.m. on the Alphabet net; show will air on the net, first on Sundays and Mondays, and then just Mondays, through September. “HSM: Summer Session” eventually following a group of singers and dancers as they participate in a music workshop and compete for an as-yet unannounced prize.
