HONG KONG — Universal Music has renewed its sales and distribution deal with Rock Records, one of Asia’s top indie labels, and added the Chinese mainland to its geographical reach.

It extends a deal signed in 2003, which includes sales and distribution for all back catalogue, new releases and joint-venture initiatives (such as compilation albums) for Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Malaysia and Singapore.
