Survey reveals overwhelming gaming odds
Wondering where the young auds have gone?A new Pew study has even more dramatic evidence of how far videogames have entered the American mainstream, noting that 97% of teens 12-17 play videogames. 50% had played a videogame “yesterday” when polled and a whopping 86% report playing on a console, meaning they’re stealing directly from potential TV watching. Still, there is a bit of hope for the “Gossip Girls” of the world: 99% of boys report playing videogames while “only” 94% of girls play.
