Richard Dreyfuss sets gig at Old Vic

Actor to star in 'Complicit'

Richard Dreyfuss will topline the Kevin Spacey-helmed production of “Complicit” at London’s Old Vic Theater this winter.

Dreyfuss plays a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist brought before the Supreme Court, where he is torn between protecting his family and defending freedom of the press.

Stage credits for the thesp, on the supporting actor Oscar radar for his bigscreen perf as VP Dick Cheney in “W.,” include “Death and the Maiden” and “Sly Fox” on Broadway and “The Prisoner of Second Avenue” on the West End.

Spacey is a.d. of the Old Vic. His in-the-round staging of “Complicit,” a new play by American scribe Joe Sutton, runs Jan. 7-Feb. 21, with an official press opening set for Jan. 22.
