Tony-winning Broadway tuner “In the Heights” picked up the Actors’ Equity ACCA Award, given to an outstanding Broadway chorus from the past season.
Laurel is handed out by the Advisory Committee on Chorus Affairs at Equity, the legit thesps’ union. Other 2007-08 nominees were “Xanadu,” “Cry-Baby” and “South Pacific.”
ACCA honor was inaugurated last year, when “Legally Blonde” scored the award. This year’s ceremony will be held Sept. 23 at Equity’s Gotham offices.
