Earl D. Weiner has been elected the chairman of Theater Development Fund, the non-profit service org best known for its TKTS discount ticket booths.
Weiner takes over the post from David D. Holbrook, who has been TDF chair since 2005 (following a prior tenure from 1990-1997).
Weiner was a partner at law firm Sullivan & Cromwell for 30 years, and remains of-counsel to the firm. He has been a TDF board member since 2005, and also is chair of the Acting Company.
Topped by exec director Victoria Bailey, TDF administers a variety of aud development programs that include education outreach and an accessibility initiative for theatergoers with physical disabilities. Org also maintains three TKTS booths, including a recently reopened outpost near Times Square.
