Broadway fare headed to Texas

Nederlander, Dallas Center pact for plays

Shorenstein Hays Nederlander, the org that owns three theaters in San Francisco and presents the Best of Broadway series there, has pacted with the Dallas Center for the Performing Arts to bring Rialto fare to the new Texas complex.

Four-venue Dallas Center is still under construction. Its series of Broadway fare, to play the 2,300-seat Winspear Opera House, will commence with the 2009-10 season.

SHN is the partnership of producer Carole Shorenstein Hays (“Topdog/Underdog,” the upcoming revival of “Fences”) and Robert Nederlander of the Nederlander Org, the Broadway theater owners and producers.
