‘Boys,’ ‘Wicked’ break house records

Road Grosses

NEW YORK — The road dropped a little less than 1% this week, down $108,968 to $11,683,140 in Week 42 (March10-16).

“Jersey Boys” and “Wicked” both broke house records this week, with the Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., production of “Wicked” bringing in $1,360,415, and “Jersey Boys” landing the top spot on the charts with $1,708,940, in Tampa, Fla., breaking its own record yet again.

The only thing pulling the total gross this week seems to be venue reshuffling, as shows such as “Mamma Mia!” finish their runs in lucrative venues and start new in a different city (The Abba tuner moved to Fresno and made about $330,000 less this week).
