Horak to run Video; Gareton named Digital VP
Warners’ home entertainment group has elevated two execs: Mark Horak has been upped to prexy of Warner Home Video North America, and Marc Gareton has been promoted to exec VP of international for Warner Bros. Digital Distribution.
Horak, who most recently served as exec VP and G.M. of worldwide ops and new packaged media, will take over the vid arm’s North American operations, Mexico included. He will continue to oversee worldwide global sales process and category management, reporting to homevid topper Ron Sanders.
Horak joined Warner Home Video in 1995 as director of marketing. He previously served as exec VP and G.M. for Asia, Latin America and Australia, and exec VP of worldwide marketing, among other duties.
Gareton, previously senior VP of international for the home entertainment group’s digital distribution arm, will continue to oversee the studio’s digital strategy, partnerships in digital services and emerging business activities outside of the U.S. He reports to Thomas Gewecke, who heads that arm.
Gareton joined Warner homevid in 1995 and has served in a variety of international posts.
